The Chocolate Hills is an unusual geological formation in Bohol, Philippines. It is composed of around 1,268 perfectly cone-shaped hills of about the same size, spread over an area of more than 50 square kilometres (20 sq mi). They are covered in green grass that turns brown during the dry season, hence the name.
Transportation In the Major Cities, road regulations are strictly enforced like motorcycle helmets, seatbelts and speed limits. This is however not necessary in the provincial areas.
Halloween Halloween is celebrated differently in the Philippines. It is celebrated as the all souls and saints day. The Celebrations starts around the 30th of Oct and will last until the 2nd of Nov. During this time, people put up canopies and tent in the cemetery and people spend days and nights remembering the love ones who passed away. Relatives and love ones goes home to light up candles, offers flowers and prayers to the dead. It is one of the official national holidays of the Philippines. During this event, various services are offered by the local residence. Services include washing of the tombstones and cutting grasses using your regular household tools.
Boat people Their main livelihood is fishing and pearl diving but when a ship comes in the port, they also asked for coins from the passengers. They train their kids at a very young age. I've seen kids swim with their parents as young as 2 years old. Most of these people use a spear to fish and swim with no goggles or oxygen. It is truly amazing watching these people work.
